YouthBuild – New Bedford
YouthBuild is a program of PACE for 16-24 year olds who were not successful in the traditional school system. Programs offer a unique curriculum that combine academic instruction with workforce development training, leading to a high school diploma and skillsets for employability.

Greater New Bedford Vocational Technical Institute
GNBVTI offers evening technical and vocational training courses, Continuing Ed and Licensure courses. Offers 200-Hour Career Technical Initiative Courses in: Welding and Marine Technology. Vocational Training includes: Carpentry, Millwork, Culinary, Basic Electricity, Welding, Microsoft Office. And a host of Licensure courses.

Building Pathways
Offers a pre-apprenticeship program aimed at helping low-income individuals gain entrance into registered apprenticeship programs, and ultimately careers in the Building Trades. Their construction curriculum includes an intro to the Offshore Wind Industry in collaboration with Mass Clean Energy Center.

Oceantic Network
Their offshore wind education and programs are built to help businesses successfully enter the industry. They offer workshops, often free of charge. They’ve offered highly informative sessions in collaboration with the Verdean Veterans Memorial Foundation and Vineyard Wind.

FOR EDUCATORS

Vineyard Wind Education Exhibit
Visit Vineyard Wind’s Offshore Wind Energy Education Exhibit to explore offshore wind energy Open Thursdays 10am-4pm free to the public. Teachers can also schedule guided field trips designed for elementary, middle and high school classes.

CLEAN ENERGY CAREER TRAINING FOR MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS

Transform Power Systems
Their Transform Power Workforce Hub (TPWH) is an 8 to 20 week training pathway consisting of technical, industry and professional knowledge. Pathways are chosen based on a participant’s previous experience and career interests.

National Offshore Wind Institute (NOWI) at Bristol Community College
The NOWI provides Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety and Technical Training for offshore wind in partnership with Maersk Training at its state-of-the-art New Bedford training facility.
